Corporate Social Responsibility

Since 2007, ING has been 100% environmentally neutral and in 2011 was once again included in the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), ranking the best ten percent of the 2,500 largest companies according to their economic, environmental and social policies.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, ING introduced the “Chances for Children” programme aimed at promoting and increasing the quality of education for children. This programme is implemented in cooperation with the UNICEF international fund in many regions worldwide where various ING entities operate.

ING Bank in the Czech Republic decided to support local projects in cooperation with the Tereza Maxová Foundation which has a similar focus as the “Chances for Children” programme. In 2005, a special ING Bank Fund of the Tereza Maxová Foundation was established as a general partnership between the Foundation and ING Bank. Its objective is to support disadvantaged children growing up in children’s homes or foster care through grants allocated by a special grant commission, focusing on the support of education and talent development. In seven years, we have together supported more than 535 projects.
